About This Program

Andy Warhol's identity as a gay man and his numerous connections within New York City's LGBTQ+ community had an undeniable impact on his life and art career. This lecture traces Warhol’s romantic relationships and queer identity against the backdrop of the twentieth century gay rights movement in the United States.
